Legal Counsel

Legal Counsel Location: Munich, Germany Our client is seeking a commercially minded Legal Counsel to join their in-house Legal team. In this role you will work closely with the Head of Legal across a broad range of legal disciplines, acting as a strategic partner to the business in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide business-focused legal advice across contract and commercial law, civil law, data protection, corporate law, and IT law. Review and draft contracts, terms and conditions, and internal policies and templates. Conduct legal analyses and support business leaders in developing legal strategies. Review and maintain website legal content in line with regulatory requirements. Monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments and translate these into actionable guidance. Manage relationships with external legal counsel. Help strike the right balance between entrepreneurial risk-taking and protecting the organisation's people and assets. Requirements: Fully qualified lawyer with strong academic credentials from German jurisdiction (First State Examination) or a Master of Laws (LL.M.). 4+ years of post-qualification experience at an international law firm or in an in-house legal function. Strong expertise in commercial and contract law, civil law, and data protection; corporate law and IT law experience is a plus. Solid knowledge of applicable statutes, rules, and regulations. Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both English and German. Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.
